Year 10A girls have been learning about cells and organelles. Last term, they enjoyed making their own individual cells molding organelles from different coloured play dough. Year 10 girls also learnt about solution types; hypertonic, isotonic and hypotonic. They also investigated rate of diffusion under varying temperatures.
Recently, girls have explored the process of photosynthesis, in spinach leaf, in relation to light spectrum. They did a fantastic job of making 3D models of chloroplast, an organelle where photosynthesis occurs.
This semester, Year 10A girls already had lots of fun hands on activities while learning how to conduct scientific experiments followed by scientific report writing.
