Before teaching, Kazi developed his communication, team work, organisation and initiative skills through his employment experiences in International Engineering and Shipping organisations. His Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degrees from Monash University provided him with the theoretical grounding that assisted him to integrate learning across content areas. The practicums which were completed in Mazenod College, Mount Erin College and Hampton Park Secondary College assisted him to develop his professional approach to teaching.
Kazi joined Darul Ulum College of Victoria in 2012. He reinforced his teaching skills by teaching secondary and VCE Mathematics. In 2014 and 2015 he mentored several student teachers. In 2016, Kazi became the school coach conducting EBOs (evidence based observations) in the class rooms. Moreover, as a coach he was involved in the training and conducting PD’s for teachers. These experiences developed his pedagogical content knowledge. He became the VCE and VASS Coordinator in 2017.
Kazi strongly believes that the best teacher is the best learner, who should be proactive to embrace educational innovation and change.
